SIX WEEKS CLASS

PLUS A RETREAT

The Six Weeks Class covers six sessions in a small group setting [4-8 couples] at the leader's home. It concludes with a weekend retreat. This is a relaxed weekend consisting of time as a group and as a couple.

WEEKENDER

[RETREAT ONLY]

The Weekender is a condensed version of the Six Weeks Class consisting of time as a group and as a couple during a weekend retreat. Before and after the retreat a couple will work through some of the sections in the workbook alone.

COUNTDOWN ONLINE

We highly recommend the six weeks class or the Weekender, but if scheduling or distance doesn't permit, then our Countdown Online course can be taken in the privacy of your home at your pace. Engaging videos, actionable resources, prompts and questions get the two of you interacting.

Cost

Save $60 on your marriage license! Countdown is an approved curriculum for the Twogether In Texas marriage education program. Upon completion of Countdown, you will receive a certificate which will allow you to deduct $60 from the Texas Marriage License fee.

6-Week Class: $175 per person – Includes: Countdown materials, relationship inventory, retreat accommodations and meals.
Weekender: $175 per person – Includes: Countdown materials, Weekender retreat accommodations and meals.

NOTE: Couples who have attended in the past highly recommend the 6-week Class with the concluding retreat. If you can't attend the 6-week class, the Weekender is a good option. The actual costs per couple is $495, but has been underwritten by faithful donors so the discounted cost of $350 per couple is more affordable.

One-on-One: $175 per person – If a couple is not able to attend the 6-week class or Weekender, we have limited one-on-one availability. Call to discuss.

A Marriage Prep Experience that Lasts Forever

Consider a whole new way of doing pre-marital counseling. Every generation desires meaningful relationships. We all want something that is experiential and authentic to provide practical tools to help a marriage work. At Legacy Family Ministries, we believe that there are five essentials that describe the Countdown experience: biblical, experiential, authentic, relational and practical.

These core values combined with an interactive mix of personal stories, visual aids, props, and humor make the Countdown experience a unique way of preparing couples for marriage.

Essentials of Countdown

We believe there are five essentials to make the Countdown experience unique.

Biblical – We believe the Bible reveals principles that govern the way life can be lived to the fullest. Our values are shaped by the truth and existence of God revealed through Jesus Christ and Scripture.
Experiential – We believe a person learns by doing. Individual, couple, and group learning activities creatively challenge one’s thinking and allow education to take place as the whole person, mind, body, spirit, and emotion, is drawn in to the process.
Authentic – We believe both leaders and participants must accept their human imperfection. Knowing that our true identity is found in Christ, we can be real, honest, and vulnerable to share the struggles and successes in life and not attempt to hide behind a pretense of holiness or facade of human success.
Relational – We believe God created individuals to connect with and learn from one another. Our ultimate goal is to create a safe environment for couples to interact, discuss, and possibly debate the subject matter as well as gain encouragement, support, and accountability as they relate to one another.
Practical – We believe our course of action should involve applicable life change and not be problematic to live out. As a foundation is built, it is important to begin with the basics and then build on what one knows. The focus of The Countdown Experience is life change...not theoretical discussion.
